I installed BuzzCut but I can't see it in my DAW?

If the plugin is not showing up, first verify that the files were installed to the correct default folders on your computer:

Windows Default Path
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\LusiD\BuzzCut.vst3
macOS Default Paths

AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/BuzzCut.component

VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/BuzzCut.vst3


If the files are there, your DAW likely needs to rescan its plugin database. Click your DAW below for instructions:

Ableton Live
  1. Open Preferences (CMD+, on Mac / CTRL+, on Windows).
  2. Go to the Plug-Ins tab.
  3. Hold down the ALT/Option key and click "Rescan". (This forces a full rescan).
FL Studio
  1. Go to Options > Manage plugins.
  2. Click "Find installed plugins" (Top Left).
  3. Ensure "Verify plugins" is checked if it still doesn't appear.
Logic Pro X
  1. Restart your computer (Logic often requires a reboot to see new AU plugins).
  2. If that fails, go to Logic Pro > Settings > Plug-in Manager.
  3. Select "LusiD" in the manufacturer list and check the "Use" box.
  4. If it's not there, click "Full Audio Unit Reset".
Studio One
  1. Go to Studio One > Options > Locations > VST Plug-ins.
  2. Ensure the "Reset Blacklist" option is checked at startup, or click "Scan at Startup" and restart Studio One.
Reaper
  1. Go to Options > Preferences > Plug-ins > VST.
  2. Click "Re-scan..." and select "Clear cache and re-scan VST paths for all plug-ins".
Cubase / Nuendo
  1. Go to Studio > VST Plug-in Manager.
  2. Click the Settings (Cog icon) near the bottom left.
  3. Click the Rescan All button (Icon with two circling arrows).
I bought BuzzCut but didn't receive my License Key.

Your license key is delivered automatically by SendOwl immediately after purchase.

  1. Please check the email address you used at checkout.
  2. Check your Spam/Junk folder. (It might end up there)
  3. Check "My Orders". Your license key should be available there too.
  4. If you still cannot find it, please reach out and I will send you one manually.
How do I authorize/unlock the full version?

Open BuzzCut in your DAW. If you don't immediately see the activation overlay click on the "BuzzCut" logo. You should see the License Key Input Field. Paste your license code from your email "XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX" and hit Enter.

How many computers can I install BuzzCut on?

Each license key is valid for use on up to 4 machines. You are free to mix and match between macOS and Windows (e.g., your studio desktop and your travel laptop).

Can I activate BuzzCut on an offline computer?

If your studio machine is strictly offline, I can handle the activation manually.

Please reach out directly and send me the following details:

  • Your Operating System (e.g., Windows 11, macOS)
  • Your License Key
  • Your Machine ID (Right Click the "BuzzCut" Logo inside the plugin activation panel, it will copy to your clipboard)

I will personally generate a valid license file and email it back to you with instructions on where to place it.

Does BuzzCut work on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3)?

Yes. BuzzCut is fully native for Apple Silicon.

Why is there no AAX (Pro Tools) version?

As an independent developer, I will be funding the Avid AAX certification fees from the initial sales of the plugin.

What is the refund policy?

I offer a No-Headache 30-Day Guarantee. If BuzzCut does not meet your expectations for any reason, email me within 30 days of purchase for a 100% refund. You can keep the license as a thank you for trying it out.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

If you find a bug please reach out directly via email "support@lusidmusicuk.com" or Instagram  Please Include your OS version (e.g., Windows 11, macOS Sequoia) and your DAW (e.g., Ableton 12, FL Studio 21). I'll try to fix it ASAP.

Can I join the affiliate/partner program?

Yes! The program is totally open to the public and takes about 30 seconds to join. There are no signup requirements.

How does affiliate tracking and credit work?

Tracking works via Cookies and Discount Codes.

  • Browser Cookies: When a potential customer clicks your link, a tracking cookie is saved in their browser. This ensures that even if they leave the site and come back days later to make a purchase, the system recognizes you as the referrer.
  • Discount Codes (The 100% Method): Using your unique discount code is the most reliable tracking method. If a customer enters your code at checkout, the sale is guaranteed to be attributed to you, even if they used a different link or have cookies blocked.
  • Last-Click Attribution: The most recent affiliate gets the credit. If a customer clicks one link, but then clicks your link (or uses your code) right before buying, you get the commission.
What are the guidelines for partners?

Transparency and Honesty.

  • You must be transparent with your audience and disclose your affiliate status.
  • Honest reviews only. Please do not claim the plugin is great just to get paid. I prefer genuine feedback and integrity over paid hype.
